Welcome to the online press kit for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work
Mark your calendar! This year's Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is the fourth Thursday in April!
Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work helps girls and boys across the nation discover the power and possibilities associated with a balanced work and family life. In its 24th year, the program is entering a new era, working with youth all year long through an engaging new web presence and the integration of STEM education. This year's curriculum features activities from PBS Kids' Design Squad Global and The Chevron STEM Zone.
This national, public education program connects what children learn at school with the actual working world and encourages girls and boys across the country to dream without limitations and to think imaginatively about their family, work, and community lives.
This year, Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work looks forward to working with over 40 million youth and adult participants in over 3 million U.S. workplaces as well as more than 200 countries abroad.
The theme for 2017 is “COUNT ON ME!”
Who do you count on? You may look to friends, teammates, family, mentors and teachers to not let you down. And in return, they can count on you to do the same for them!
Being part of a workplace team also involves accepting responsibilities. When each team member acts responsibly, it makes the workplace more successful.
Responsible people take charge of their lives! Make a plan and set goals to develop your talents and skills! We challenge you, on Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work® Day, to show your future workforce that they can #COUNTONME!
Be sure to use the #COUNTONME hashtag in your social media posts supporting Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work® Day 2017!
